Code of Conduct
With this CSR Policy, Nexans autoelectric complies with the UN Global Compact and integrates the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility into its corporate strategy. This underlines the commitment of Nexans autoelectric to observing fundamental principles with respect to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and fighting corruption. In addition, this CSR Policy expresses our determination to apply CSR principles in concert with our employees on the basis of mutual trust and in our shared interests. Nexans autoelectric therefore selects its employees in accordance with equal opportunities guidelines and ensures fair working conditions. Together with its employees, Nexans autoelectric shapes relationships with our business partners through open and competitive inquiries and communication, and strives to ensure that all offers are given equal consideration.
Basic Rules for Employees
Nexans autoelectric expects its employees to participate in the implementation of the CSR Policy by committing to continuously improving the implementation of the principles listed below. This CSR Policy sets out the principles that all employees should base their worldwide activities on for Nexans autoelectric. For all of the principles listed below, Nexans autoelectric employees must adhere to them and, in all their activities in the various countries in which they operate, must comply with the applicable international, national, and local laws and regulations. Compliance with this Policy is essential for the working relationship in general. Nexans autoelectric encourages its employees to promote the implementation of this policy within their respective spheres of influence.
Ethical Behavior & Business Conduct
Anti-Corruption
Corruption is incompatible with Nexans autoelectric's ethical standards and its commitment to the UN Global Compact. Employees shall therefore perform their tasks in accordance with the principles of honesty, impartiality, and in compliance with anti-corruption regulations.
Gifts & Invitations
Employees may not offer or accept gifts or invitations that might influence the recipient's judgment or be interpreted as a bribe. Gifts as a courtesy may only be accepted in accordance with applicable laws and customs. Monetary gifts are never acceptable!
Anti-competitive Behavior
Employees act in accordance with the principles of free competition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conflicts of Interest
Employees shall not participate in decisions that could lead to actual or perceived conflicts of interest, regardless of whether they involve business or personal interests of an economic or other nature, directly or indirectly through a related party. In the event of a potential conflict of interest, employees affected thereby shall disclose this immediately.
Environment & Product Responsibility
Environmental Protection
Employees shall be obliged to minimize the impact of their activities on the environment and to develop solutions that contribute to environmental protection and energy savings. Employees shall observe national environmental protection laws, commit to implementing environmental protection principles, and strive for continuous improvement in this area.
Product Responsibility
In all their activities (purchasing/sales, design, production), employees shall strive to take environmental, health-, and safety-related criteria into account. Employees shall provide Nexans autoelectric with detailed information about the environmental impact of their activities or products of which they have or become aware.
Human Rights & Labor Conditions
Forced Labor & Child Labor
Nexans autoelectric is committed to complying with all international human rights laws, eliminating any form of illegal, forced, or compulsory labor, and excluding child labor.
Diversity & Fairness

Nexans autoelectric complies with all applicable laws regarding working hours and minimum wages and strives to offer its employees further education and training programs.
Health & Safety
Nexans autoelectric invests the necessary funds into ongoing measures to improve and ensure occupational health and safety, in accordance with applicable legal regulations and safety management.

Conflict Minerals
Nexans autoelectric is committed to taking measures to prevent the illegal or unethical procurement of minerals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries and applies procedures to ensure that 3TG components in its products are not sourced there.
Basic Rules for Employees
The implementation and continuous improvement of this CSR Policy is a priority for Nexans autoelectric and its employees. By entering into a contractual relationship, Nexans autoelectric and its employees commit to complying with this CSR Policy and to implementing continuous respective improvements. Employees are encouraged to openly address any violations of the principles set out in this Policy and to report these to their line manager, superior or the management. Reporting violations shall never result in disadvantages for employees; it rather represents active participation in pursuing corporate principles.
