From Medical Technology to Automotive Engineering: Just the Right Step for Me
What do medicine and cars have in common? More than you might think! After graduating in medical technology and gaining some professional experience, I deliberately chose Nexans autoelectric. Today, I lead a team in project engineering and ensure that our plants are prepared for new projects and that innovative and economically viable machines are used in our wire harness production.
But that's only half the story, because there are a few important milestones in between: After switching from industrial engineering to product design, I also decided to pursue a Master's degree in economic sciences for engineers – with the goal of broadening my horizons through the combination of technology and business and gaining a more holistic understanding of corporate processes. The company supported me excellently: With special leave for exams, flexible working hours, and technical support.

Diverse Experience and Broad Knowledge as a Key to Success
Today, after returning to industrial engineering, I have long since settled into my role as team leader for the industrialization of new projects. Thanks to my previous experience in product design, I understand the requirements of product development much better. My master's degree allows me to look at projects from different perspectives. No two projects are the same: Which manufacturing concept is technically and economically the best? Which machines ensure reliable processing? Where can proven methods be used? How should industrialization be planned? Each of these questions requires a well-thought-out solution.
Lifelong Learning
Ongoing training and education accompany me up until today. As a young manager in an innovative environment, targeted training is essential. And this is the attitude I would
